How can a feminist approach to development impact communities? What can feminism teach us about the development sector in the wake of #AidToo?

The University of Melbourne Master of Development Studies Program and Humanitarian Advisory Group invite you to a moderated panel discussion on embedding feminist approaches in development work.

Feminist approaches impact development programs and operations in a number of ways. It can be informed by sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) realities, lived experiences and representation in the workplace. These inform barriers and enablers to a more effective response for communities in international development.

Panelists include:

Dr. Chrisanta Muli – CEO / One Girl

Alice Ridge – Senior Research, Policy & Advocacy Advisory / IWDA

Thenu Herath – CEO / Oaktree

Kelly Durrant – External Relations Director / Marie Stopes International Australia

We hope to see you there!
