Tom is a well-connected and respected leader in the Talent Acquisition and D&I space. In early 2022, he decided to leave the advertising and corporate world behind and refocus his career. This decision was motivated by a desire to be of service to others and reconnect with purpose and community. Tom now leads recruitment and talent strategy for the Wayside Chapel.

Tom has led large, high performing teams for over a decade, most recently at WPP. He takes a strengths-based, holistic approach to people development and coaching. This approach has enabled team members to overcome self-limiting beliefs and thrive both inside and outside of work.  

Raised in New Zealand in a family of educators, Tom lives by the philosophy that everyone deserves a fair go – access to opportunity to live a full and rewarding life. He has worked on a range of social justice and human rights issues.

In his community work and volunteering, Tom is especially passionate about working alongside at risk LGBTIQ+ individuals, especially PLHIV and those experiencing issues with addiction.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies majoring in Public Relations and Corporate Communications He is a member of Australia’s Top Talent Table – a group of 100 recruitment leaders and is an Accredited Professional Recruiter (APRCSA).
