Hawanatu is an award-winning filmmaker and social worker, specialising in mental health, individual and organisational wellbeing. She is the founder of Mahawa Creative, a social enterprise that harnesses the power of storytelling to assist individuals and organisations craft socially impactful videos and share compelling stories. As a mental health clinician she is passionate about helping people enhance their wellbeing and self-worth.
As part of her social enterprise she runs Rejuvenate, a workplace wellbeing program that supports employees to connect to themselves and each other, discover their purpose and feel a greater sense of belonging that can lead to higher productivity and performance.
Her signature program Inner Essence uses creativity, storytelling and self care to empower women and young people to connect to their authentic selves and grow to their full potential.
